1. Our Philosophy on Returns & Sustainability

At The Green Closet, we believe in conscious consumption and products that last. Returns have an environmental impact through transportation, repackaging, and potential waste. Therefore, we encourage you to:
  • Review size guides carefully: To minimize fit-related returns.
  • Read product descriptions thoroughly: Understand materials, care instructions, and unique features.
  • Consider exchanges: These options have a lower environmental impact than a full refund, as they keep products within our circular system.
  • Document it: We highly recommend that you record wrong or damage product at the time of delivery itself.

2. Eligibility for Returns & Replacements

To be eligible for a return or replacement, your item must meet the following conditions:

Timeframe: Returns and replacements must be initiated within 7 days of receiving your order. Requests received after this period may not be accepted.
Condition: Items must be unused, unworn, unwashed, unaltered, and in their original condition with all tags attached. We cannot accept returns for items that show signs of wear, damage, or smell of perfume, smoke, or pet odors.
Original Packaging: Please return items in their original packaging to facilitate responsible processing and potential re-sale. If original packaging is missing at the time of reverse pick-up, the return may be denied.
Proof of Purchase: A valid order number or proof of purchase is required for all returns and replacements.
Unboxing: We will only honour customers with recorded videos at the time of delivery with the unboxing proof of wrong or damaged product received.

Non-Returnable/Non-Exchangeable Items (for hygiene and sustainability reasons):

  • Final sale items: These items are final sale unless defective upon arrival.
  • Gift cards are non-refundable.

OR Email our customer support team at Greencare@thegreencloset.in with your order number and the reason for your return/replacement. Please include videos and photos if the item is damaged or incorrect.

3. Refunds & Replacements

Quality Check: All returned items undergo a thorough quality check upon arrival at our facility to ensure they meet the eligibility criteria.

Refund Processing:

If your return is approved, your refund will be processed to your original method of payment within 7-10 business days after the returned product has been received and inspected.

Shipping fees (original and return) are generally non-refundable unless the return is due to our error (e.g., wrong item, defective product).

A nominal return fee of Rs.99/- per item may be deducted from your refund for returns not due to our error, to partially cover return logistics and processing. This helps us encourage mindful purchasing and supports our sustainability efforts.

Replacements/Exchanges:

If you requested a replacement for a defective or incorrect item, we will ship the new item to you at no additional cost after the returned item passes our quality check.

For size exchanges, the first exchange may be free, while subsequent exchanges or returns for exchange orders may incur a freight charge of Rs.250/-

We encourage exchanges over refunds to reduce environmental impact.

4. Damaged or Defective Items

In the unlikely event that you receive a damaged or defective product, please contact us immediately within 24-48 hours of delivery at Greencare@thegreencloset.in with:
  • Your order number.
  • Clear photographs and/or a video showing the damage or defect at the time of delivery.
  • Unboxing video.
  • An image of the original invoice/packaging.
We will assess the issue and arrange for a replacement or a full refund, including return shipping costs, if the defect is confirmed to be on our part. We may request the item to be returned for inspection
